Things are not quite as spoiled
Well at least I feel relatively human today which is a start. had some nice feedback about Saturday- workshops and performance which is lovely because yesterday i'd convinced myself that nobody had ever liked me- ever in the world and i might as well eat worms!!!! funny how you loose perspective on life after 24 hours of a view down the toilet. So fed up about it because not only did I miss Asmahan but also missed seeing people again and having time to chat which I did n't on the Saturday and I'm not ill these days I'm used to feeling great so even the principle of being poorly is annoying.
The restaurant I dance in at Bridlington has got back in touch so I'm dancing there in a fortnight (if they get the bookings) which should be good. I'm also starting my advanced class on Sunday which I'm so looking forward to because I shall get a lot out of teaching it.
AND THE MELODIAS HAVE COME- WOOO HOOOO!!!
AND I'VE BOUGHT A FAB COSTUME THIS FESTIVAL- There were 4 to choose from-I'm not kidding 4 that I could actually try on and decide which was best.Hurrah for Mandy and the Shimmyshop (slightly tempted to ask if she's still got the purple one-mmmmm!)

Costume Gripe!!
I've been to 4 major Belly dance festivals this year-3 of which advertised the biggest Souk in the UK-OK so why did nobody have a costume to fit me?
Now I have been big-part of medical probs-my systems all slowed down resulting in hugeness but not any more. So why am I having the same problem I did 2 stones ago-nowt to fit.I've even been to Cairo 3 times in that time and nowt fitted!!!!!Except from the late Mme Abla and those costumes are too big now and so are honourably retired-well sold on actually.
Now apart from the costumes I'm having a big comeback-regularly working in 2 restaurants-teaching workshops and guest appearing at haflas nationwide etc etc but I've only 4 costumes that fit!!! I had 6 but 2 have got to retire because they are massive.
I can't believe that at my size 14/16 ,which is about average British woman size,I am impossible to suit.Basically I'm sort of average. OK I'm not stick thin but who is??My waist is 26 inches.
Starting to panic now. I've got lots of work coming up-come on belly dance costume traders of the UK - will you frame and get me a costume-don't make me get really mad.
Incidently it did amuse me to notice at the Bellydance Congress that the beautiful and fabulously formed Randa could not have bought a costume from the souk either, and in fact neither could at least half the performance cast.I think the traders are missing the point here and it is not solved by having a couple of huge costumes- what about ms average. Incidently I almost fit into the costume I had about 5-7 years ago when I was thin. In those days costumes fitted me-why are they getting smaller. I have money-SELL ME A COSTUME!!!!
